While living in Boston so many years, my wife and I looked so forward to that getaway up north...."lets stay at an inn"....yes!...where?.....somewhere with mountains and beautiful nature......"ok" (before the age of computers) well let's just drive up there and we will find something. Now the long drive and llttle by little the tension of everyday work life and stress starts to melt away as well as the conjested city/suburban settings...ah ..... trees.... and look off in the distance an emerging moutain range. We are getting close. Wow was that a deer?

We arrive at our destination and stop at a welcome center. Inside there is a rack of brochures with places to stay and local sites and activities. Next we find a coffee shop and go thru the brochures to negotiate mutual choices....We agree on an Inn that looks great and off we go on our northern adventure. If all goes well, our stay usually ends with "Damn I hate to leave".

My how times have changed....."Hey honey, lets get away to an Inn up north" ...Where?... "Just go on line and search for Inns in Vermont" " you can look at the rooms, the food menu local activities, prices" "Some of them have interactive videos, you go right in the room, see the innkeepers" ..not all of them have videos and you have to click a hundred times to get thru the websight......The video you just click once and see almost everything that is on a website in just two or three minutes and then go back to the website if you are interested in more info like room prices, availablity, phone, email etc...this is the future no time to waste!....."Hey hon tell you what" Do a search on youtube for inns vermont you will be sure to see great videos and they are rated ..start with the ones rated with 5 stars...... Times have changed!.......
